CBD Oil Dosage Guidelines And Helpful Information
Dosage is different for everyone. Suggested guidelines.
CBD Oil works differently for every person, therefore finding the right amount will also differ for each individual. It’s definitely not a ‘one size fits all’! It can be quite a complex process as it depends on various factors such as body weight, metabolism, and the severity of the condition being treated. As a homeopathic treatment, it is recommended to start with a low dosage and gradually increase over time until the desired results are achieved. Use the ‘Go low, go slow’ rule. Sometimes a little bit is all you need. It is suggested to take just one drop morning and night for a week, then two drops for a week, increasing by a drop each week until you reach your desired dosage. Sometimes the changes are so subtle they’re not obvious, other times, particularly for anxiety, relief can be instant, when taken sublingually (under the tongue). Be aware that if you increase your dosage and notice a sudden return of symptoms, this is your body’s way of letting you know that you have surpassed your right dosage and to go back to the earlier dose until you find relief again. Being homeopathic, ‘Less is More’ in this case.
It is important to remember that the effects of CBD oil may not be immediate and may take several days or even weeks of consistent use to notice the full benefits. Many conditions and symptoms have taken years to develop and will take time to recover, therefore it’s also important to understand that taking CBD oil is a long-term ‘repair and maintenance’ program and not just a short-term solution. Remember that it’s not just about relieving symptoms, it’s about supporting the body’s endocannabinoid system to achieve optimal balance and wellness. By maintaining a consistent dosage over time, one can achieve and maintain well balanced and holistic good health.
One of the most effective and fastest methods of administering CBD oil is through sublingual absorption. This method involves placing the desired amount of oil under the tongue, allowing it to be absorbed through the veins located there. The effects of sublingual administration are typically felt within 15-30 minutes.
Taking the ‘Whole Hemp Oil ‘sublingually’, (or under your tongue), allows the oil to be absorbed directly into the bloodstream, (rather than passing through the gastrointestinal system) which increases bioavailability.
To administer the oil sublingually, stand in front of a mirror to ensure proper application, lift your tongue to the roof of your mouth, and place the drops under the tongue. Allow the oil to sit in your mouth for 1-2 minutes before swallowing.
It is important to note that the absorption of CBD oil can be affected by what you eat or drink. Therefore, it is recommended to not consume anything 5 minutes before or after taking the oil.
How Long Does CBD Take To Work?
CBD oil’s effects can vary greatly depending on a variety of factors, including the method of consumption, how much one takes and an individual’s metabolism. When administered sublingually, (under the tongue), the onset of effects can be much faster, typically within 1-45 minutes. Topical cbd products such as balms or creams, are absorbed through the skin and can take anywhere from several minutes to an hour to take effect.
